This privacy policy sets out how HOVA handles your personal information. HOVA complies with Australian privacy legislation.
Staying Anonymous
You can browse our online services anonymously. However, if you would like to take advantage of our services, you will need to identify yourself to us and at that point we will collect your personal information.
Collecting personal information
At all times we try to only collect the information we need for the particular service we are providing. This may include your name, addresses, phone number, email, work information, occupation, device and connection information and HOVA username and password.
The main way we collect personal information about you is when you give it to us, for example:
- when you contact us
- when you create a profile in HOVA
- when you submit or accept a booking through our online services
- when you ask for access to information we hold about you
You agree that, for compliance purposes, we may retain any of your personal information for a period of seven years, although we are not obliged to do so.
Social Networking Services and links to other websites
We may provide links to other websites or use social networking services such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn to communicate with the public about our work. These sites have their own privacy policies. When you communicate with us using these services, we may collect your personal information. We will only use it to help us to communicate with you and the public. The social networking service will also handle your personal information for its own purposes.
Collecting sensitive information
We do not actively collect sensitive information about you, including information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or criminal history. We will take steps to appropriately protect any sensitive information we do receive.
How we use Cookies and other identifiers
We use a range of tools provided by third parties including search engine browsers and our web hosting company, to collect or view App, social media or website traffic information. These sites have their own privacy policies. We also may also use pixels, cookies and session tools to improve your experience when accessing our online services.
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. Some website features may not function properly without cookies.
The information collected by these tools may include the IP address of the device you are using and information about sites that IP address has come from, the pages accessed on our site and the next site visited. We use the information to help to track your use of our online services to improve your user experience and the quality of our services. Security and overseas recipients
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we use respected hosting services, firewall and other electronic security procedures and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect from you. Our internal procedures may include:
- risk assessment of misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure of your information
- background tracking and records of changes made to your personal information
Disclosure
The information that we collect about you is used only for the purpose of providing you with our services. We do not publish your personal information. We provide access to your personal information in accordance with Australian privacy law. We may share your personal information with our professional advisors to obtain advice, or for compliance with our accounting or legal obligations.
Due to the online nature of our business and its availability for download from Google Play and Apple App Store, it is likely personal information stored by us will cross international borders. We aim to use reputable third-party providers for cloud storage, CRM, and payments. By using our App, you consent to the transfer of your personal information internationally.
Accessing and correcting your personal information
You may request copies of the information we hold about you, which will only be provided electronically. You have the ability to make a request to amend or correct that information. If we do not agree with your requested change, we will keep a copy of your request with our information.

App. End-User License Agreement (EULA)

BY DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING AND/OR USING THE HOVA APP YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Please see our terms of use for further provisions.
Access to or use of the HOVA App signifies your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this licence agreement and all other applicable terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, do not access or use the HOVA App.
Scope of License
You don’t own your copy of the HOVA App. By downloading the HOVA App, you acquire a licence to use it. You may be required to download different versions of the HOVA App for different Devices.
HOVA grants to you a non-transferable license to use the HOVA App on any mobile phone, tablet, iOS, Android or other device that supports the HOVA App (“Device”), that you own or control. In respect of Apple Devices, your use is limited to that permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. This license does not allow you to use the HOVA App on any Device that you do not own or control. The terms of the license will govern any upgrades provided by HOVA that replace and/or supplement the original HOVA App, unless that upgrade is accompanied by a separate license, in which case the terms of that license will govern.
Acknowledgement
You acknowledge that these terms and conditions are between you and HOVA only, and not with Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for our App and its content.
You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to our App.
You acknowledge that Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to our App. In the event that our app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for any paid version of our App to you.
You acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims made by you or any third party relating to our App, or for investigating, defending, settling and discharging any third party intellectual property infringement claim.
The App is currently only available for download in the Australian marketplace.
You warrant that you will comply with applicable third party terms of agreement when using our App.
You acknowledge that Apple has the right to enforce these terms and conditions against you as a third party beneficiary.
Limited Use
You may not distribute or make the HOVA App available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time. You may not rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute or sublicense the HOVA App. You may not copy (except as expressly permitted by this license and the Usage Rules), decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, modify, or create derivative works of the HOVA App, any updates, or any part thereof (except as and only to the extent any foregoing restriction is prohibited by applicable law or to the extent as may be permitted by the licensing terms governing use of any open sourced components included with the HOVA App). Any attempt to do so is a violation of the rights of HOVA. If you breach this restriction, you may be subject to prosecution and damages.
Responsible Use
You agree not to use the Services in any manner to harass, abuse, stalk, threaten, defame or otherwise infringe or violate the rights of any other party, and that HOVA is not in any way responsible for any such use by you, nor for any harassing, threatening, defamatory, offensive or illegal messages or transmissions that you may receive as a result of using HOVA.
Access
HOVA, and its licensors, reserves the right to change, suspend, remove, or disable access to any online services at any time without notice. In no event will HOVA be liable for the removal of or disabling of access to our online services. HOVA may also impose limits on the use of or access to certain online services, in any case and without notice or liability.
Termination
This license is effective until terminated by you or HOVA. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice from HOVA if you fail to comply with any term(s) of this license. Upon termination of the license, you must stop using the HOVA App and destroy all copies, full or partial, of the HOVA App.
Consent to Use of Data
You agree that HOVA may collect and use technical data and related information, including but not limited to technical information about your Device, system and application software, and peripherals. This information may be gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates, product support and other services to you (if any) related to the HOVA App. HOVA may use this information, as long as it is in a form that does not personally identify you, to improve its products or to provide services or technologies to you.
Disclaimers
HOVA provides a platform for connection only, and does not guarantee the quality or reliability of any individual or business user, or information on our App.
You acknowledge that we do not carry out any independent checks on users. It is your responsibility to verify identities and or qualifications.
You acknowledge that we have no control over and are not responsible for any work circumstances including pay or other entitlements. It is the employer’s responsibility to meet the minimum standards of employment. Workers should ask their employer for work circumstances and consider it before accepting a work offer.
Workers who make their services available as a sole trader must understand their own legal requirements and responsibilities to negotiate with any business they agree to work with.
Location
We may ask you to provide us with your postcode to identify businesses offering roles convenient to you. Location data provided by any online services is for basic navigational purposes only and is not intended to be relied upon in situations where precise location information is needed or where erroneous, inaccurate or incomplete location data may lead to death, personal injury, property or environmental damage. HOVA does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of location data displayed on its online services.
Offensive Content
HOVA is intended for use by persons over the age of 18 years. You agree to use our online services at your own risk. You agree that HOVA will not be liable to you for content that may be found to be offensive, indecent, or objectionable.
Use of the HOVA App is unauthorised in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms of use, including without limitation this paragraph. If you are resident in a jurisdiction where the use of HOVA App is unauthorized, it is your responsibility to cease HOVA App.
